Lauren Cohen

Lauren Cohen is an integrated communications strategist with a proven track record of successfully developing and implementing PR and issues management campaigns for Fortune 500 companies, startups, trade associations, and nonprofits.

At Mission North, Lauren leads the Life Sciences practice, helping to tell the stories of the companies that are transforming how we treat disease, how we eat, and how we protect the planet. Her current and previous clients include Ginkgo Bioworks, ShapeTX, Recursion and Absci, among others.

Previously, Lauren served as a director in APCO Worldwide’s public affairs and technology practices for six years, leading the firm’s work with some of its largest global clients. Before APCO, she led communications at the Natural Products Association, the trade association representing vitamins and dietary supplements.

Lauren, based in Washington, D.C., spends her free time seeing live music and practicing yoga. She has a bachelor’s degree in journalism from the University of Maryland.
