Nick Maschari is a Senior Vice President and leads Mission North's Corporate practice. He brings to clients extensive experience working with Fortune 500 and rapidly scaling companies with reputation-building and rebuilding challenges, executive positioning, crafting advocacy campaigns, developing issues management programs, managing crises and supporting growth and business transformation efforts including M&A and IPOs.
Nick has worked across categories, with a focus on highly-regulated and highly-scrutinized industries. At Mission North, he leads and supports client engagements with companies like Ansys, Betterment, UKG, Gemini, Gingko Bioworks, Recursion, Canva, UPSIDE Foods, Ramp and Kiva.org.
His focus is often on building strategies to address and manage rapidly evolving and increasing stakeholder expectations brought on by social and societal changes, and engaging with audiences ranging from opinion elites, customers and employees, to activists, policymakers and regulators. Nick also helps clients understand and adapt how they communicate in a dynamic messaging environment where traditional marketing approaches tend to be less effective in shaping and moving opinion.
Prior to joining Mission North, Nick worked at Purple Strategies, a boutique strategy and reputation management firm, as a senior director. He brings global experience gained from roles with APCO Worldwide and Moët Hennessy Louis Vuitton (LVMH) where he lived and worked abroad in the Middle East and Asia supporting corporate growth initiatives, including market entry, M&A, training and development and capacity building.
Nick is based in and leads Mission North's Washington, D.C. office. He graduated cum laude from the Reed College of Media at West Virginia University. He lives with his wife and 4 year-old son on Capitol Hill.
