Rafe Needleman

Rafe Needleman is SVP of Content and Media Strategy at Mission North. An experienced editor, writer, and content leader, he brings personality and precision to technology storytelling.

Rafe was the first product reviews editor at CNET, and has served as editor-in-chief of Byte, Make:, and Yahoo! Tech. During the dot-com boom, he chronicled the startup revolution at Red Herring through his influential newsletter, Catch of the Day.

Working at Cisco, he developed AI-focused thought leadership and served as executive writer for networking and collaboration leaders. He later led technology content strategy at Allison+Partners before joining Mission North.

He started publishing at 13, with "The Official Star Trek Trivia Book." Rafe is also the author of "Pro PR Tips," a wry guide for communicators, and he writes Caller Calls Back, a blog on etiquette in the technological age. A San Francisco native, he lives in the City.
