A Summer Celebration on Two Coasts: Mission North's Q2 Offsites

|||||

Last week, our teams in San Francisco and Brooklyn spent an afternoon relaxing outside of the office, surrounded by good food and games while bonding with colleagues old and new.

Mission North San Francisco entered the summer season with a hole-in-one at Urban Putt. Urban Putt isn’t just any mini-golf course. Some holes were in an “underwater” black-lit cave, while others involved intricate decorations and arcade-like challenges.

As some of us chowed down on chicken and waffles and chocolate-covered strawberries, others competed in friendly games of basketball and skee ball, and for the title of “best golf attire.” Caleb Bushner, our vice president of digital strategy, won the award and received a fancy trophy we know he’ll treasure forever.

On the opposite coast, our Brooklyn team enjoyed sun and fun at Brooklyn Crab, an outdoor restaurant featuring seafood, water views and games like bocce and cornhole.

We spent the afternoon eating crab and shrimp, sipping on summery cocktails and discussing our favorite podcasts (the shortlist: Reply All, Crimetown, Longform Podcast, and, of course, Serial).

The brave among us extended the offsite with a trip to Brooklyn’s best karaoke, showing off their impressive range, compelling dance moves and a particular talent with the tambourine.
